NFL  > General NFL  > Tim Tebow: With a record of 6-1 he still is not an NFL QB
December 8, 2011, 04:25 PM
I think this might the first time in professional sports history that fans rather than the coach decided who was going to be the starter, in this case at QB.

I agree with ESPN's Stephen A Smith, I don't remember -ever in the NFL- a team changing everything to please or fit a player. They changed their system just to please Tim Tebow, there is something wrong with that.

I guess the fact that many Bronco fans want him to get the chance to start should be reason enough to change a multimillion dollar operation just to fit one player.

I watched a few NFL games last weekend and compared Tebow's ability to throw the long ball, the short ball and the third and long throw, you're not going to like this Tebow maniacs, I came away with a feeling that Mr. Tebow brings a pop gun to a gun fight.

A QB in the NFL needs more then the ability to run or a big heart to be taken seriously.

YOU GOT TO HAVE AN ARM FOLKS !

Can we agree on that.

This 6-1 run will run out soon, the reality of the NFL will hit the Broncos soon, hey maybe the Broncos can get a special pass to join the Southeastern conference.

As always this is just a fans opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I thank God for that.

Enough said.

Some people seem to think that averaging 7.5 completions per game is a ticket to the HOF.

Is it about being right or about "enjoying the ride"? This is an "evolutionary" change for the NFL (admittidly going backwards 60 years) but nonetheless it makes for great football and TV to see this team fighting for a playoff spot. Why insist for a "told you so moment" when you might consider just watching and enjoying.

Why are you so wrapped up about the position he plays? Just consider him one of 11 who permits his offense to do their part of the equation and let the team get a win. Were you so down on the Wildcat offense? To me this is a variation with maybe a better QB running it than a RB or WR.

It's your keystrokes, start all the threads you like, it's a free country.

I don't think he's going to be a superstar, but I think there is a place for him. He won't be a Ryan Leaf at least.

And I agree on Big Ben

I know the wildcat is done, but at first it was interesting and fun to watch, proved effective as well. Funny thing about football is Coaches change based on their talent.....at least that is the way it works at the younger levels. In Texas we have/had 7 man ball in small schools out west....no way to field 11 a side. So coaches out there adapt every few years based on the talent that comes and subsequently leaves the school a few years later. Look at the Denver thing in the same way. Talent (Tebow) is in their lap, they need to figure out a way to win some games using it.

Tebow is who he is. He's not Elway, Marino, Staubach...............Hell, he's not even Kolb. But, he is WINNING and he is LEARNING.

How many Painters, Gabberts, Youngs, and other QB's are there starting, but LOSING?

Sounds like you're bitter over Tebow for some reason. Does he being who he is affect your personal life? If not, then why worry about it? The fans and team are enjoying their winning right now, and you should let them. It certainly beats the alternative, does it not?

Another Tebow thread by asifyouknow....shocking! Let me guess...you are tired of hearing about Tebow, but you feed the beast more than anyone on FN...

With each week that goes by, you look more and more foolish. One of these weeks you and Merrill Hodge will be right. Keep the faith.
