I'm in agreement with you. I have pondered why so many complaints and haven't come up with an answer that makes sense to me.
After many weeks of conference play, with a few cupcakes tossed in, I look forward to inter-conference and inter-sectional games to flesh out the season.
Sometimes many of us, me included, focus too much on the few matchups that are huge mismatches and complain about them, because that is what people like to do. I won't even address the LSU/Bama thing here. It's been covered enough.
I don't know if anyone cares about the number of bowls, after all it is about raising money so the schools can afford to have an athletic department and giving scholarships. I just happen to think that there are some poorly matched teams in Bowl game. The one that is stuck in my mind is Boise which is ranked #8 playing Arizona St. ( not even in the top 40) and after Arizona St. had fired it's coach. What kind of point spread we talk'n about?
My only complaint about Bowl games is that a playoff system would be a lot more fun to watch.

Bowling Green plays Southern Miss
That's an interesting match-up.
I'd rather see WKY get an invite than UCLA (and a few others as well).
