"Wow, excited to see that unfold RT @lorenzofertitta: Coach for TUF brazil Vitor Belfort and Wand Silva and yes they will fight!"

Brian Stann's last Tweet.

Dana White and UFC has commented on it as well.

Also my cousin is fighting in the co-main event this sat night dec 17 on the Ward vs Froch event. Luis galarza vs Kell Brook. Luis is the under dog and will win this fight and make a splash in the WW in boxing. Check it out!

Nice. Good luck to him.

I have a friend doing his second MMA fight as a pro next month in Kentucky.

You know, I didn't even know Fedor had fought Jeff Monson in November. Didn't hear a thing about it until now.

Don't really understand why they would fight eachother. Only way this fight makes any kind of sense for Belfort is if he loses to Rumble. If he wins he is taking a step back and getting further away from a rematch with A. Silva by fighting Wanderlei

QUOTE(#13):

Yeah but its an easy win for Vitor.

I'm not sure about easy.

Vitor's is the easy pick, sure. In theory, he should be able to fire straight punches through the Wanderlei blitz and stop him violently, just like last time.

The fight is deeper than that though.

Wanderlei is a far more dynamic striker, and by dynamic, I mean he has more well developed tools. His knees are better, his kicks are better, and his elbows as well.

His ground game has looked better, albeit marginally, over the course of their careers, in fights like the first Dan Henderson fight and the Bisping and Fujita fights. Vitor has a better top game perhaps, but not much.

While I do think that Wanderlei deserves to be an underdog here, I think he is a very live one. He is a true, mulch-demsional game that Vitor doesn't have. Vitor is fairly one dimensional, and while that one dimension is very dominant, Wand has some clear ways to win this fight.

QUOTE(#15):

His chin is shot C. Vitor's heavy fast hands vs a shot fighter=Bad ending for Wanderlei. And I'm a fan of Wanderlei but I expect him to get violently knocked out.

My sentiments are the same, but I wouldn't be shocked if Wanderlei won.

Another element, no fighter, short of perhaps Big Nog, has a better fighting spirit, heart, and will to win that Wanderlei has. Contrarily, Vitor has shown time and time again that if things don't go his way, he breaks mentally.

Depending on the event, this may be a five round non-title main event. If Vitor does, say, like he did in the Sakuraba and blitzes Wand, fails to finish and tires after the second round, I have to believe that Wanderlei will capitolize and finish during rounds 3,4, and 5.

I'd say 80% of the times, this fight ends in violent fashion in the first or second round with Vitor coming out on top. 20% of the time though, Wanderlei makes it a long, ugly, bloody affair and gets a late stoppage.

I agree with this.
