NFL  > General NFL  > John Elway has no choice but to jump on the Tim Tebow train
December 14, 2011, 12:00 PM
The Denver Broncos is like any other business, they need to make money and Tebow mania is making them tons of it, Elway has no choice, Tebow is his man.

I'm sure you have noticed how Mr. Elway has soften his retoric about Tim Tebow, only a few weeks ago he was asked if he had his QB on this team and his answer was "NO"

Here is a quote after the Bears game, this is from the John Elway Show:

???I think he has rallied everyone around him which as you said is part of the leadership qualities that he and his ability as a football player but also as a man to really raise this whole organization and this whole football team to the point where it???s got such great belief that everybody is playing above their ability. I think that???s the sure sign of a great leader.???

Big change there from Mr. Elway, wonder if he got a call from the big guy in the sky, you know , the Broncos owner.

I'm only guessing here.

Tim Tebow is so popular around the country that maybe Mr. Elway should just shut up and let this freak show burn itself out.

Time never lies, reality will catch the dream sooner rather than later.
Enough said.

Asif, did it ever occur to you that your Tebow threads may be adding to their luck? I mean, you post a thread - they win. Week after week! :-)

He is screwed, now he can't do anything , the decision about the teams direction has been made by fan demand...market demand if you will...

That's what you should do next. Write a poem about Tebow! Then your masterpiece will be complete.

AIYK,
evidently there is little interest here in this thread. It's covered ground. This is beating a dead horse until the next chapter Sunday agains the Patriots. That game will write the next chapter. What do you want us to say?

Wisconsin Death Trip? He gets beat up around here a lot. He and I are "friended", I think he knows his football and has good opinions on his team. I hope he sticks around as the population is getting a bit thing. Just the message gets a little garbled when the rest of us scrubs at .500 are hearing about the short comings of his 1.000 Packers. I am with him in regards that win or lose each game needs to be analyzed closely for what you can do better.
The "critique" is the most important part.

Haiku or a limrick?

December 14, 2011  01:01 PM ET

There once was a QB named Tebow
He made all the girls cheeks glow
he then went down on one knee
which made blind girls see.

He ran and he ran
denver screamed you're the man
but elway growled
as the media howled....TEBOW

Tebow tebow
you make asif's heart grow
another thread we will know
oh Tebow Tebow!

Now the game is done
The Bronco's have again won
is it a fluke or grace of God
No...It's Tebow and his squad.

lol

December 14, 2011  01:02 PM ET

Limrick? Is that spelled correctly? Don't confuse the limrick with the rimlick, totally different and don't google it at work.
