I guess bickering wins out over tolerence...shocking!

I liked your post ... but a message board has to be about more than just a dozen regulars. Most people who take football seriously stay from NFL threads because of all the goofy immature <hit.
I'm for tolerance! I think your thread keeps getting kicked down the page with the on-line streaming crap....keep bumping.

I agree it should be more than a dozen, I was referencing a certain group that was created 3 years ago. This place has lost a lot of good posters. Mostly due to spam IMO,
I guess we will see how serious people are about tolerence. I am here making the thread, so it's up to the rest of you now.
Tolerance........ one definition is; sympathy or indulgence for beliefs or practices differing from or conflicting with one's own.
In response to this with my own thoughts, I see a lot of things going on here that I myself can and cannot tolerate. The famous people characters (which is a fantasy outlet of sorts for whoever is doing it), is no hair off of my back. But then again, I've been a part of "Virtual Places", a chat place where you can be anyone you wish, and I've worn Alan Jackson or George Strait avatars........so, I cannot condemn those who do something I've done... albeit in a different type of virtual environment..........Most people know this is a fantasy and leave it at that.
To meet new people, one has to be accepting of a differing opinion, culture, and ideas. Being quick to judge someone because of suspicions of being a dupe, troll or whatever, would be detrimental to any kind of friendship (and conversations, ideas exchange) from developing. Now, in my opinion one who trolls is the lowest of life forms. Someone who has a dupe account, but is respectable in conversations and exchanges is a different story, but that's just me. I can be friends with most everyone......I don't tolerate trolls very well, and those kinds of people are very recognizable, such as Mr Phallus, as I called him. I don't even remember his real screen name now.
I can go on and on, but the longer one of these comments are, the less chance people will take time to read it. But, I agree that the coming year, we all can be friends "IF" we all really wanted to. But, it requires effort and TOLERANCE of others' ideas and the way they do things.

Too me?A message board is a place for posters ,friends, too meet and talk about anygoddamn thing they feel like talking about, It ain't'just about sports', go too the TnR boards and after the 16 pages? the subject changes, want sports, 'period' ? try a blog, good luck cuz it ain't about 'all sports' nither.
It's human nature to have discussions and subjects change every ten minutes. At an office party, for instance, several people are standing around having a conversation. The subject(s) can range from 2 or 3 to several in a matter of minutes. One person will say something, or a key word, that will bring up a memory in another, and they'll say something about what they remember, and it goes on and on. It's not much different in virtual, because there are real people behind each and every monitor, and what's being discussed triggers memories or stories in another.

It's called bragging-rights, O' "Bearded-Clam".
You wouldn't understand. It's a testosterone-thing.
