Happy New Year, Rob.
Can't remember if I told you before but I love the format the use where you list the prior 3 fights under each guy. Makes comparisons a lot simpler - and it's something that none of other good MMA sites seem to do.
Overall, I agree with breakdowns and I think you nailed most weight classes.
The only 2 areas I'd disagree with you on:
1) LHW: I think Gustaffson should be ranked higher than Tito, Franklin, Mousasi, Nedkov, Bader, and Cavacante.
2) MW: I don't think Mayhem should be in the "just outside the top 10" group. I don't think he's even top 20. He looked like a rookie against Bisping (first loss by referee pity stoppage that I've seen in awhile) and his wins prior to that against a shot fighter in Saku (who's now lost 6 of his last 8 against unranked guys) and a joke tomato can like Tim Stout aren't enough to compensate for that.
I'd also put Munoz over Maia and Bisping for now.
Keep up the great work.
I have a pretty big issue ranking Rashad and Rampage ahead of Shogun.
Rampage isn't a top tier LHW anymore. IMO, he never was. He's just not that good, and Shogun would beat him pretty easily IMO, just like he did a few years ago in Pride.
And who has Rashad beaten recently? An overrated Rampage and a way past his prime Tito? Rashad has lost to the only true top fighter he has fought, and it was in devastating fashion.
Shogun>>>Rashad>>>>>Rampage
My top 5 LHWs would be...
Bones
Hendo
Shogun
Machida
Rashad

Happy New Year to you too.
Thanks. I appreciate that. Yeah, Gustaffson is making his way up. Another win and he'll crack the top 10.

Only problem with that is Shogun and Machida like to lose lately. Evans hasn't. That's how rankings work.
You could argue Hendo over Evans though.

Shogun lost to Bones, and a very close fight to Dan henderson.
Elite competition.
Rashad has beat a piss drinker, that I'm not even sure is in the UFC anymore, probably the most overrated MMA fighter of all time in Rampage and a Tito Ortiz that had won one fight in 5 years.
Machida is the only true top fighter Rashad has ever faced, and he was KO'd. Rashad will be in the top 5 until Phil Davis dominates him, but he hasn't done anything to be placed over Shogun.
And since 2007, Rampage has faced 3 true top fighters, Jon Jones and Rashad Evans, he lost to both of them, and Lyoto Machida who you're gonna have a tough time convincing me that Machida wasn't screwed by the judges. Rampage has never been a top 5 LHW, and he's done nothing to jump over Shogun. Rampage is declining fast. He's slow. Hell, he hasn't even finished a fight since he KO'd a past his prime Wanderlei Silva.

That would probably be my order as well when I think about it (I was caught off guard by the exclusion of Gustaffson in the top 15 so I didn't go through the top guys with a fine tooth comb)
Rashad's overall fight record looks clean at first glance, but he hasn't faced nearly the same gauntlet in 2011 that the others did. By the end of the year, things should really shake out a lot.
By the way, this clip is hilarious...
Not sure if everyone gets Fuel TV, but this new segment reminds me of classic Piper's Pit...
