King had Atlanta representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.
The only division he really came close to nailing was the NFC North.
I think the two teams that choked the most were Dallas and Oakland. Dallas had its typical December where everything goes wrong. Oakland on the other hand invested heavily with draft picks to get Carson Palmer and were 1-4 in their last 5 games and had as many opportunities as any one team can have to make the playoffs but couldn't pull it out. All they needed to have happen for them to make it is have Denver or Cincinnati lose and have Oakland win. But they couldn't even do that at home against the lowly Chargers. The one thing both Oakland and Dallas have in common?, Rob Ryan, Oakland's run defense is still struggling from how much he screwed it up, and now you can see that it is affecting Dallas's run defense also.
I don't understand the comments about Dallas choking or people surprised how their season went. This was the same defense that crapped all over themselves last season. The same defense that set a new low standard for the franchise. Now they can rebuild with 21 contracts ending. Good riddance!
As for King's predictions especially SD, he couldn't find his Peter with a spotlight.
This is THE most-accurate analysis I've ever read!

"Every year SI spoon feeds the NFL fans garbage from this so-called expert and it is time for the fans to stop eating. Why should we continue to read and trust in the predictions of a man who cannot do any better than 35% in any category and who cannot predict a single Super Bowl victor? Humbly speaking, we shouldn???t."

Who here (or anywhere) predicted 13-3 for the 49ers?
I remember thinking the same-exact-thing about Aaron Rodgers' future:
*
"Rodgers was widely projected to be the number one pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, but slipped to the 24th overall pick to the Green Bay Packers."

I'd figured.....he couldn't have had a better opportunity (at mentoring, in the NFL), than Bret Favre! He (at least) had that to look-forward-to!!

I should have clarified it. Dallas down the stretch had plenty of opportunities to put themselves in a position that the final game wouldn't have been decisive. NYG's had a much harder schedule than Dallas, then Dallas lost 2 games due to freezing the kicker one of those losses was when Dallas froze their own kicker, the other was when they let NYG's come back and win in Dallas. Dallas in my mind was not good enough to win the NFC East but like I said they had plenty of opportunities down the stretch but were once again stymied by Romo and the Curse of December . The Philadelphia dream team was the biggest choke, Reid will probably be given one more year to redeem himself.
I know the only upset pick that I got right was Houston winning the AFC South, that was before it became clear that Manning would not play the season.
If Tim Tebow wants to thank god for anything, maybe it should be tie breakers. Denver, Oakland, and San Diego all 8-8 while the cellar dweller Chiefs were 7-9.

HOW WRONG CAN YOU BE? SF 5/11 LAST IN DIVISION!
He also picked Cimcy to be 3-13.

Predicting the outcome of an NFL season is incredibly difficult. Who here (or anywhere) predicted 13-3 for the 49ers?
I screwed that one up myself. I had them at 14-2.

They are what they are, Tx. In my opinion, until Jerry learns to be a GM (unlikely) and gets some real football players instead of "value", then this trend will likely continue for another 16 years. The talent they do have is being wasted, and are getting older.
DWare has just finished his 6th year for example...
Newman finished his 8th season and he looks like he's been playing for 30 years. I think he set a record for number of times one was hurdled at 3 last night. I didn't count the missed tackles. He's doing the same thing Roy Williams (safety) did, only he's not horse collaring. Hell, he's not even attempting to tackle.
Romo's been a Cowboy for 7 years now. I'm not going to go into detail about any others, but just an example here. They're not getting any younger, but their talent is being wasted, because of one man's foolish ego and his thing about "value".

Obviously the slick oil man from Arkansas does not really understand value. Maybe he should find out if Belichick offers a class on 'value'.

He could learn a few tricks from Belichick, and the Rooneys as well insofar as how to run a football team..........But, he's smarter than anyone else, and he's a legend in his own mind.

What I really don't understand is how the Cowboys manage to get all of these prime time slots.......they were a 6-10 team last year, so how'd they manage to get all of these Saturday and Sunday and Monday night time slots? They're an 8-8 team this year, so I guess since they "improved" by 2 games, they'll have more prime time slots next year?
There's a skunk in the woodpile somewhere if you ask me.
