Ya know a little modesty would suit well SEC fans. Victory has many faces, one face is never the same as the other. And the earths magnetic field is about flip.

Is it Troll Season already? Where does the time go?

It's because team/conference dominance is new to them, Van. Generally speaking, you don't hear Bama fans joining in the fray, because THEY are used to a culture of success. (They're the only team in the SEC with over a 70% win record overall). Fans of Notre Dame, Big Ten, Big 8/Big XII, Pac 10-- we recognize ebb and flow of conference/team strength, and we deal with it. We know that it's all cyclical.

It's kind of like old money versus nouveau-riche... those used to having it don't feel the need to flaunt it; those to whom it's new are the annoying ones who need to prove they belong to those already established... ;)

Taken at face value, this troll does appear to be a SEC fan, but I'm not so sure. One thing for certain- he hates all things Cleveland, and by extension, Ohio too. If I had to guess, I'd say Cleveland is where his parents live, and his contrary comments on these boards are all the stuff he felt but never had the guts to say to dear old dad.

It's clear he has nothing going in his own life because he measures his personal success by the teams he favors. I doubt he's much of a CFB fan at all, so he just jumped on the bandwagon of the conference certain to look the best, thus he too (in his own mind) would also look good most of the time.

Answer him if you want, but IMO it would be just the attention he craves.

Well, MSU did beat UGA. And all the games are pretty much SEC home games. That said it wasn't a good day for the B1G at all. Next year is even more of a question mark, as WISC will take a big step down and tOSU/PSU adjust to a new coach.

Why are you posting to this troll thread? And why are you bandying about judgements at this level?

Do penance, then return to the path towards sports fan enlightenment.

As a Gator fan, I resemble that remark. ;)

While the opposite is true on this site, Bama fans are some of the worst SEC homers I have ever known. It might be the fact they live in Gainesville and have to deal with Gator fans, but they are very close to this dupe troll.

I also know for a fact that they are a regular on the boards and they got you hook line and sinker old money.

Bah, trolling is fun. Besides, there are only a few days left until the long winter darkness without CFB. For those of us who don't care all that much about recruiting rankings or the silly 2012 title game there are not too many days/topics left to post on for a while...

Coaching changes are always good for banter. And with Ohio State, when I heard Meyer was keeping Fickel but only as a co-defensive coordinator, I was disappointed because it sounds more like a glorified position coach. I'm not sure Fickel is Meyer's man, Meyer may have felt obligated to keep him to avoid a public relations backlash.

And since Pitt passed on hiring Fickell as its next coach, I think Fickel's best route to the Buckeye head coaching job would be to take on the next MAC program that's looking and prove he can win there. Taking Meyer's history into consideration, I don't see him staying more than five years, but who knows...

It is my fault, I let him out of the Asylum to watch the UF - OSU toilet bowl game. And this is what happened. My Bad.

Ironically UF won the Meyer way. Great special teams, pressure on the QB, and team speed.

If one were to take a troll at face value, then one would play the troll's game.

If one were to flip the troll's preferences, he'd actually have the desired affect of generating on-line support and discussion for the victims of the bashing: Ohio State, Cleveland, and other Ohio things.

Continuing with flipping of assumptions:
It's clear he has things going in his own life
He doesn't measure his personal success by the teams he favors (hence the willingness to bash).
He's a CFB fan (to generate discussion)
So he just jumped on the bandwagon of the conference certain to look the worst (by portraying the troll as a fan), thus his team (in his own mind) would also look good most of the time.

You're a genius, Tribute.

Love it! Running his mouth about the worst Ohio State team since...wait for it...1897. Isnt that like picking on a fat kid in dodgeball???

If it happened before I was born it doesn't count. I think it's cute that non SEC fans have to try to live in the past to be happy.
