NFL  > San Francisco 49ers  > Will Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman leave SF hanging?

The rumor is that Penn St. needs a Head Coach and is desperate and out there begging anyone to come and coach or play there- no takers so far.

The powers that be at Penn St. said that Roman is on their short list and that they would like him to come there immediately. I wonder if they expect him to drop everything now that the NFL playoffs are starting and come running at their command. They must be pretty naive at Penn to think that someone who has the chance of a lifetime to help lead a team to the Super Bowl would give it up to run back to Pennsylvania at their beckon call. It would be interesting to see how much they are going to pay the person who becomes the Head Coach at Penn St.

I wonder if Roman was a suggestion from their advisor Matt Millan.

QUOTE(#1):

It's not just a rumor that Penn State is looking for a head coach. I doubt the are desperate, and I'm certain that nobody at Penn State is expecting that an NFL coach still in the hunt for a championship will drop all at their "beckon call." I see where you're headed. That the evil Raider Matt Millen would try to sabotage his old Bay Area rivals. Think about it, Narry. How likely is it that, out of all the Penn State alumni in the land, only Matt Millen's voice would count?

Matt Millan has a lot of friends. He got the cushy job as GM for the Lions and despite a terrible job the Ford family was content with him. Finally they had to get rid of him because he was the laughing stock of GM's in the NFL, and the butt of comedians jokes. Then after being let go he walks right into the broadcasting world and takes over, when Penn St. has its problems, Millen is there on cue trying to save face for Penn St. sobbing about how this couldn't be true but if it were he'd be the first one in line to take a punch at Sandusky. Talk about the bias on ESPN, Evil Self Promoting Network, where all their staff is there for one reason, recruiting for their alma mater. Look at Holtz, Millen, Bayless, and others, and worst of all Craig James who has used ESPN as a catalyst for his political and personal motives, not much difference I can see between FOX and ESPN.
