As an offensive point guard I would agree with you but as a pure run the offense point guard I have to go with Chris Paul.
He is pretty good. But I think when you say "best point guard" that it implies the player need to be a distributor and less of a scorer. Let me go on the record and say right now it's Steve Nash, and has been for a long time. He is the best shooter in the history of the game and has John Stockton like vision and Magics passing. Dude is an offensive juggernaut. Interestingly enough, I might pick Derrick as the best Guard in the league. It is just so hare for me to see him as just a PG.

Right now?? Quite frankly Nash wont even crack the top 5 right now........... Nash is not the best shooter in the league's history (come on man, really???). Nash is not above Stockton and don't even think about Magic...
I cant imagine that some people cant recognize that the pure point guard is a thing of the past. The rules and the 3 pt line have changed the game entirely. The game supports Gurds that can attack the basketball and score as well as kick it out for the open 3. This pure point guard crap guys are throwing up passes from half court for dunks I dont recall that being a part of the pure point guard skills. The game has changed and for the point guards it has truly changed. If you dont have a guard that can score and attack you are having point guard issues. The game has changed it was at one time Centers- power forwards who control winning, then came the samll forwards and 2 guards now the point guards are ruling the NBA

Best shooter in the history of the game apparently you just started watching the NBA to make such a wild suggestion. Apparently you never saw Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Jabbar, Robertson Sam Jones,
D.Rose is young, one of my favorite. I admire his passion and intensity whenever he plays. He is really, really good (so as D.Wade) thy're the 2 people I admire the most!
