NFL  > Pittsburgh Steelers  > Art & Ben; Pre-"Flight" Check
March 8, 2012, 06:10 AM
Yeah, this is probably a pretty-good time to make sure Ben understands that....everyone is as expendable as they make themselves.

When you say tweak your game, what do you see yourself needing to do as far as tweaking it?

"Just stay healthy. That is it. Just stay healthy and you can stay on the field. I think I can help us win games if I am on the field and I am healthy. I hurt us when I am not healthy, the San Francisco game. That is the most important thing to me, making sure I am staying healthy."

It's about TIME he admits he BLEW IT, during the 'Frisco-game, when he (obviously) convinced Tomlin he could finish...BIG...once-again. A lot-o'-that was on TOMLIN, as well!!

Pre-flight check? Then you better pull yourself off the crapper.

Whatever issues they need to work out they are still a playoff team.

Ben will never admit he's too hurt not to go back into a game. That decision is on the medical staff and his coaches. BUT how do you tell a player who says i can go that he can't without the medical staff saying he should sit?????

Ben's a player with a throwback mentality.... he's goot the mindset of a Bronco Nagursky or more appropriately, Jack Lambert... Unfortunately, his will to win sometimes writes a check that his bet up body just cant cash... A completely healthy Roethlisberger would have beaten the Packers in the SB...and played in Pittsburgh throughout the playoffs last year...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!! but seriously, the story I heard was that she drunkenly chased him all over town, bar to bar, with a fake ID....begged for a meeting with Ben, then cried "oh, Ive been victimized..." This is OLD news... do you have anything better than this? Really?

oh yeah.....ouch!

As-soon-as it was obvious he was (maybe) 75%, against 'Frisco, I'd have rather seen Charlie Batch put-in, there, to finish-off 'Frisco....in the 2nd Half.

The Offense badly-needed a reason to dig-down-deep & rally....and, their ability to DO so, with Charlie "at the wheel", is LEGENDARY!!!!!

Expecting the O to keep slugging-it-out....when Ben couldn't (even) plant his left-foot....was one o' the dumbest coaching-calls I'd seen (all season), at such a critical-time!!!

Yeah....he "needed" to chase women....especially the ones who were desperate for bragging-rights, back at the Sorority-house.

Mr Shaman,The fact of the matter is? Even the Rooney's are in agreement, that ya got too cut yer losses, and move on too be competitive, hence the cuts.

Who's talking-about "cuts"??

I'M talking-about Ben (finally) admitting he BLEW the 'Frisco-game....pretty-much all-by-himself!!!!

I have to disagree with a fellow Steelers fan here......Roethlisberger was doing what he has done for the past several years....trying to win a crucial game in order to secure home field play (and a bye week) throughout the playoffs.... Do you think Charlie Batch would have fared better? Did you object to Ben playing in the SB last year, bcz he was limping around with a walking boot then too.......... No, it's NOT on Ben that the Steelers lost the SF game, nor is it on him that he played... Tomlin is the HC and the Steelers have a medical staff... if, in fact, there was a clear reason for him not playing, he wouldn't have........period
