NFL  > Pittsburgh Steelers  > Big Ben Was Sacked Less in 2011 Than In Any Other Season..
March 9, 2012, 04:35 PM
There's gotta be some sort of surprise when you read that title? I'd be kind of bummed if there was no shock value. I was going for the same type of shock as if I were on an Us magazine forum and posted "Lindsay Lohan doesn't have ****"

Anyways, I constantly hear the talk about keeping Ben clean whether it's from Art II, on TV, on the radio, print, fans in general. It usually includes a tirade or 2 about the Offensive Line, how it's a talentless bunch of helmets with legs besides Pouncey and Gilbert.

Truth be told, Ben has been sacked at the lowest rate of his career the past 2 seasons. It's tough to imagine this when you think of the rotating door of personnel that has played on a per game basis in the trenches and Bruce Arians' determination to get Ben killed with predictable play calls and lining up in obvious run/pass formations.

I jotted down a blog post with a table that shows what I'm talking about. If you wanna check it out, here's the link!...

It's not the number of sacks he takes but the physical toll he absorbs on each one.
