Awww...I adore Hines but I wish him and his family the best. :)
Tell me a lie and say it ain't so, Hines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least Steelers fans don't have to watch him play in another teams colors, or (shudder) give the Steelers a little baypack like Rod Woodson did when he played for the Ravens......

Exactly...I have mad respect for guys that retire from the same team they've been with from the beginning. Loyalty and trust are everything in football. Too bad most owners/coaches/players don't feel the same way.
Hines Ward should sign with Denver so Manning has someone to throw to.

Money is the most important thing to owners, coaches and players. Money talks and BS walks.

Extremely rare nowadays. I think it would be great if he could be a WR coach - would keep him involved in the game in some aspect. I'd rather see that than him becoming another talking head.

Agree completely......according to Mike Wallace, Hines was already in "coaching mode" the past several seasons for him and the other young WRs..... The Steelers should make him a part of their coaching staff (at least teach the WRs how to block).... ;)

That would be great!!! And, maybe he could be a player/coach so he could still play in Ravens games and block some DBs out of thier shoes!!! 8^)
saw he has his 12,000 sqft mansion for sale at $7.5M.... guess it's time to downsize if the checks are gonna stop.

As a Cleveland Clowns fan I enjoyed Heinz57 Ward crying like a lil b/*/t/c/h during his retirement speech. And now that he's gone (F'n finally!!) we gotta figure out who has the title of NFL's Dirtiest Player...any suggestions?

LOL! as a Brownies fan... I do understand completely why you would feel that way... I do totally disagree with your (and alot of other haters out there) opinion that Ward was a "dirty" player... yes, he DID blow up many DBs with textbook perfect blocks over the years (even the block that broke Keith Brookings jaw was deemed completely legal by the ever-Steeler-hating "grand poohbah" himself), yes, he did perpetually wear that ****-eating, ear to ear grin after EVERY play, which probably pissed off alot of opponents (and other teams' fans)...but, Hines NEVER stomped on another player (Suh), cheap shoted a player after the whistle/play long over (Suggs), clubbed a player over the face, breaking his nose (Ngata), or played to injure another player for a bounty (entire Saints defense).... Ward was far from being the "NFL's Dirtiest Player"...

You refuse to see Heinz57 Ward as a dirty player simply becasue you are a stealers fan. That's okay though. I didn't give him that title...he earned it after Rodney Harrison retired!

At least you're partly right....Harrison WAS one of the truly dirtiest players when he played, both in SD and for the Pats.... I dont refuse to see anything that isn't fact....your opinion is based upon the frustration of all those years that Ward made plays for the Steelers against your Browns (and the rest of the AFCN)... oh, and wining 2 SBs as well as being MVP for one of those....its interesting that most of the players calling him a "dirty" player are opposing DBs...
