Jesus C, wtf dude. I hope they re-attached those bad boys.

No re-attatching, just nubs. The doc said that since I still have all the joints that I should still have 100% use. They ended up cutting the bones back to where the meat is and stitching it shut.

Kind of ugly though, huh? I just realized the mods might not like it, but oh well. Blood clotted though, so you can't really see the bones too well.

Did you get loaded that night/

Nah, I don't drink. I did get prescribed some pain meds, but I don't take them very often. It doesn't hurt as bad as you would think from how it looks.

There's money there somewhere.

Would be nice if it worked out that way. God knows my broke ass could use it.

I saw some bone there on the first finger. You gotta look hard to see it though.

All that above the middle knuckle on the middle finger is bone, kind of looks a little like a nail I guess though.

The unused pain meds can be worth a pretty penny...not that I'm advocating selling opiates on the street.

Industrial machinery accident in a sawmill.

A fast moving chain, to be exact. Reached to adjust something that I thought was above the chain, forgot to shut that motor off first. It didn't really get stuck, just pulled the ends of the fingers off real quick.

I wish my morals would allow me to do that. I know some scumbags who would buy them for sure, but I just don't do stuff like that.

I don't even like the meds. They take away the pain, but they make me drowsy and feel funny. I like to be in control of my mental and physical faculties. I only use them when I sleep now, as the pain sometimes keeps me awake. Beside that, it is supposed to hurt when you do something stupid like that.

Wow Clouis that does look painful bro, hope you get better.

April 16, 2012  01:18 PM ET

Can you still feel the ends of them. My dad jerked his thumb off when he missed his dally roping steers, said it still felt like it was there.

And by the way sorry you had an accident hope it heals fast.

I read somewhere that if your ring finger is shorter than your index finger, you may be gay.

This could be the first industrial machinery induced case of ****.

How many other workers are missing parts of fingers?
