Am I the only person who thinks Trent Richardson is going to fall in the draft? I just do not see Tampa or Cleveland taking him. I see the Browns taking Blackmon (followed by the best OL available with their second first round pick) and then Tampa taking the top player from a much bigger need, CB. The next teams, the Rams, Jaguars, Dolphins, Panthers and the Bills do not need a RB. The only team that would take stab at Richardson would be the Jaguars to lessen the load on MJD. The Rams need line help much more than any RB. The Dolphins need a QB much more than a RB, even though I am not sold on Tannehill. The next teams Panters, Bills. and Chiefs already have 2 good RBs. Unless somebody trades up, I see Richardson easily falling in this draft.

I do expect Trent Richardson to fall. But anything can happen on draft day.

I know there's some guys who disagree with me but I really think that the rookie salary cap indirectly hurts a runningbacks draft status. And it's as simple as why Ryan Tannehill's draft status is rising.

Draft analysts aren't just speculating Tannehill to go as high as #3 or #4 because of his skill set. I don't believe that anyone considers Tannehill to be one of the five most talented players in this draft. He's rising up the boards for several reasons but one of the biggest is the rookie salary cap.

Teams don't have to pay big money for a big money position like quarterback. That increases their willingness to reach on a QB. They may be drafting him early in terms of overall talent, but they're getting him at a much cheaper salary than they otherwise would have been willing to pay.

While that is most apparent at the QB position, it does not just apply to quarterbacks. Positions such as defensive end, offensive tackle and cornerback all receive higher salaries than runningbacks - meaning teams would be more willing to reach on those positions as well. The end result is a guy like Trent Richardson slipping on draft day.

If he falls past Tampa, they need to fire their GM...

The Tampa GM has made some great FA acquisitions and is in no danger of being fired.

For a team on a ten game losing streak with no RB to pass on player of this caliber would show a blatant level of incompetence in the front office, that would have to be addressed immediately...period

The need for RB is not that great in Tampa.

They only have two RBs on their roster. I'd say they have a need.

Are you serous?

They have many needs...but RB should be at the top of the list...you think Blount is the answer?

Maybe they could send the Bears a 2nd round pick for Matt Forte.

Maybe they can send you some common sense, and then you actually use it.

I see the Bucs taking Claiborne unless the Browns snatch him first. Then I can see them taking Richardson.

You think he could get common sense by accident...I believe that everybody deserves a chance and will eventually get it?

Then why don't you ever use it...

Hmmmm. I thought you based your comments on facts and didn't resort to name calling or derogitory statements.

Guess you lied.
