You might have seen this story on CagePotato, but I thought it was interesting enough to get on here.

Bud Light has now issued a warning to the UFC about "certain remarks made by some of its fighters" adding that Bud Light "embraces diversity and does not condone insensitive and derogatory comments rooted in ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, etc."

This comes shortly after "Watch Dog" group Alcohol Justice sent out a ridiculous letter to Anheuset Busch sharholders urging them to cease sponsorship of "the world???s largest promoter of violent cage-fighting events", adding that the UFC is "delivering harmful content to millions of underage youths."

The shaky foundation upon which this sand castle of an argument is built is how advertising itself is the reason that underage drinking is rampant. Has nothing to do with the free advertising of millions of drinkers telling kids it is awesome and buying it for them, the ridiculous three ages of adulthood we have where you drive at 16, vote and smoke at 18, but can't drink until 21. Has nothing to do with worthless parents who have no control over their children. No, it is the UFC's fault.

Am I the only one enraged by this?

Its not any different then the every other beer commercial during the SuperBowl or The American Idol show. Their hatred goes back to their idea of what MMA is all about still thinking its a violent sport. But its okay for Boxing to advertise what ever they want and be okay because everyone love boxing and its an actual sport, in their words not mine. This is just another bump in the road to try and bash a growing sport.

I'm outraged. But I'm outraged by any organization that takes offense by what individuals say and puts it on the company or organization said person works for. People are too d@mmed touchy-feely in this country and it's annoying. All of Bud's commercials are sexist or homophobic. I don't see guys checking out other guys in the commercials. All the women are smoking fine. So it's ridiculous that Bud Light issue this warning to the UFC. How about they clean themselves up first. And to the "Watch Dog" group; go away. Just causing drama for the mama. Worthless.

Clearly - you've never known anyone who has been affected by rape. Unfortunately - I have. And there's NOTHING even remotely funny about it. While I don't oppose free speech - when you are in the public eye, and make stupid statements like Evans, Griffin, Torres and others have done - you should be held accountable. The UFC is in the ENTERTAINMENT business (they are MUCH closer to the WWE than they are to any of the big three sports in the US) - and it is the RIGHT of advertisers to expect their business partners and their employees to meet minimum standards - which will be virtually impossible as long as Dana is the talking head of the UFC.

Don't come in here and act like you know me. Because, clearly, you do not. I do know someone who has been affected by rape, but you know what the difference is between me, and all the pansy people that get worked up over something like this? I don't let someone who I don't know, will never know, and who will never affect me personally, offend me. Clearly, they can say whatever they want, clearly I can say whatever I want, and clearly you can say whatever you want. Just don't come in here and assume things. Comment on what Clouis posted. Don't come in here and troll.
And some advice, only use the word "clearly" when you know for a FACT what is said after is true.
