Nice piece of luck there. Several stupid picks before the Steelers didn't hurt.
I for one am ecstatic the Steelers made a move to beef up their OL. Way to go Steelers. I realize no one can predict injuries, (knock on wood) however, the Steelers went a long way in boasting their OL.
Imagine Pouncey and Castro next to each other, teams better look to the outside because the inside has been claimed!

DeCastro had another season of eligibility at Stanford, but he graduated in four years with a degree in management, science and engineering.
Wow....awesome!
DeCastro was rated as the best Guard in the draft. This was an excellent pick for the Steelers.
QUOTE(#8):
Assuming DeCastro pans out as expected ... this not only helps the running game but it helps the passing game too.
"We were a group of guys who enjoyed working, and we didn't worry about the attention," DeCastro said. "We just moved people off the ball and got rushing yards. That's what we were about."

"Today at The Football Fan Spot, we have David DeCastro, a guard prospect out of Stanford.
He declared for the draft this year as a junior. Some consider him the best interior line prospect.
He has a bright future ahead of him. Today, he is here to tell us about his game and his Pre-NFL Draft experience."
TFFS: Who do you compare yourself most to in the NFL? Is there anyone you model your game after?
DeCastro: I like to try and imitate guys like Steve Hutchinson, Alan Faneca and Logan Mankins.

"When his cell phone rang, Steelers first-round draft pick David DeCastro took a quick look, saw it was from a 412 area code and immediately wondered what was going on.
"I was kind of confused," said DeCastro. "I was thinking why is someone from a Pennsylvania number calling me when the Cleveland Browns were on the clock."

Say hello to the reincarnation of Alan Faneca......Behind Pouncey and DeCastro, the Steelers have gotten back the guaranteed short yardage game they used to for so many years. First and goal now no longer means 3 passes and a FG.....
Mike Adams: One LUCKY DUDE!!!!
"Adams is a guy who could be an absolute beast if he can avoid the off-field problems that plagued him at Ohio State. If he's sincere about his willingness to change, the Steelers will have found a steal in the draft.
Or, more accurately, a steal will have found them."

"I'm just happy to be a Steeler and very relieved that it's all over," Adams said. "I love this organization and I'm glad to be a part of it. Ever since I imagined playing in the NFL, the Steelers are the team I wanted. I grew up in Farrell, PA, and when I was 4 years old my entire bedroom was Pittsburgh Steelers stuff. So it was important for me to reach out to them."

Mike Adams:
How did you convince the Steelers to draft you?
"For me, it was more about trying to get back in their good graces. I knew that I screwed up. I've been a lifelong Steelers fan. I struck out to meet with them and just to let them know what happened and show my remorse and let them know that I love that organization and that I'll do anything to be a part of it."
