I agree, Colt just has to go to a team that will surround him with enough talent to be successful. The Browns are a very bad team and face a big rebuilding program.

Apparently the Browns are looking to deal Colt McCoy now. Where's he going to end up?I don't know for sure, but I think Green Bay would be wise to capitalize on this opportunity. I don't see any downside to the Packers, Browns, or Colt. Look at the facts:- Green Bay's current backup is Graham Harrell. If Aaron Rodgers does down, I trust Colt to take them deeper than Graham.- Green Bay is not in the same conference as the Browns.- Green Bay has a coaching staff that is proven to be able to groom quarterbacks. They have an elite starter, so they could afford to develop Colt McCoy, and improve his arm strength.- Green Bay runs a West Coast offense, which suits Colt's skill set perfectly.- Basically every team in the NFL has their starter at this point, so Colt can only hope to be a backup on a good team at this point, even if just for the next season.Who loses in this situation? The Packers get a better backup. The Browns are shipping him basically a world away - the Browns and Packers don't even play each other this season. Colt McCoy walks into the best situation he could hope for.I see no downside for any party.

I still think he will be a good qb. Not his fault he played for 2 coaches in 2 years. One of which was a complete dumb aSs, not to mention he had no help around him. Put him somewhere else and he will be fine.

TH,We're on the same page, I have no idea 'why' They're so down on Colt, and agree with yer opinion on a below average OLmen trying too give him that x-tra second too find and throw. This has too be an owner/GM decision.Hell! trade him too us! we'll take him!
Hey EZ. Anyone who thinks McCoy was the problem was not paying attention to what the Browns were giving him to work with. I saw plenty of Texas games he won. The guy can play and he can throw. He hasn't gotten a fair chance with that sorry franchise. When he got drafted by the Browns my entire reaction was noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
QUOTE(#9):
I have Browns Friends i don't want too insult, but by passing up Blackmon? and then took another QB? Makes no sense too me.
Only makes sense if they are going to shop McCoy and if I were him I'd be saying the sooner the better.
Pretty stoopid to leave DeCastro, Fleener, Reuben Randle, Riley Reiff, Courtney Upshaw and Donta Hightower on the board in order to take a 28 year old pocket passer with no mobility. I'm a Big12 fan and I'm very familiar with Weeden. He had a great O line and a stud named Justin Blackmon to throw to. He gets none of that in Cleveland.
Here's hoping Colt can be dealt to a team with a plan.
Colt McCoy has to stay healthy first. Hasn't he been injured both years?

What about McCoy's arm strength? That has been an issue since he got to the NFL. Instead of just insulting the Browns organization why don't you be a little more honest about McCoy limitations as a starter in the NFL? And you mention all the games he won in college, who cares?? Plenty of great college QB's are not good pros.

EZ, Blackmon was gone well before the Browns had their second 1st round pick. Although it's a head scratcher as to why they didn't address their wr issues. That's the Browns for ya though.

sure, i'll give the benefit of the doubt to an organization that has never been to the super bowl and hasn't been to the playoffs in years.

and btw that was the same knock about Brady. He had a team around him and worked on his arm strength. Seems to have turned out pretty well. McCoy can do the same with his arm. The guy is not a tool like Jeff George or Ryan Leaf.

So you choose to ignore the fact that many great college QB's bomb out in the NFL? Okay fair enough. I wasn't badmouthing McCoy, simply stating a fact.

Wow, you are even more biased that I realized. Are you really comparing Colt McCoy to Tom Brady? Man that's just foolish.
