Today the NFL owners mandated that all players will were knee and thigh pads starting in the 2013 season. I commend them on this, and this should help with pulled groins, hamstrings, and thigh bruises.

The NFLPA plans to challenge this...if they do and win, the owners should not pay salaries for any leg or knee injuries that could have been avoided by wearing pads.
