Jake Westbrook: 0-4 with a 7.55 ERA in his last six starts. Not good.

Its getting to point where Westbrook's outings should be evaluated inning by inning and he definitely doesn't inspire confindence past the 5th inning. Compounding his struggles is the fact the 'pen is anything but stellar at the moment.
Joe Kelly has been a solid surprise and could play a role in the 'pen during the stretch run provided Carp and Garcia make successful returns.
Agree about Westbrook. I'm pretty disappointed in him. He lost weight and got in better shape, and I really expected him to come in and have a big year. He started off okay, but lately has been very, very shaky.
Right now, they have Lynn, Adam and Lohse pitching well. As you say, Kelly has been a pleasant surprise, but they really need more out of Jake until Jaime and Carp can get back. Hopefully we're not too far behind Cincinnati by the time that all happens.

Well, I don't know where that came from, but Kudos to Jake pitched a heck of a game last night. I rip him when he's bad, so I'll give him props for that game against a very good Detroit lineup.
Now let's hope Lohse can follow with a strong performance in the matinee today.

Brilliant outing by Mr. Westbrook! The goal now would be for him to produce 6 to 7 innings of that on a consistent basis.
