Huh??? This guy was one of the biggest reasons that they did win 2 games. Marty Brodeur has nothing to be ashamed of, and played a great series.
The Kings would have won with the goalies reversed. Nothing against Quick, who deservedly got the C. Smythe Trophy, and who was stellar.
N.J lost because they couldn't score enough on this team, and Parise, and Kovie did little or nothing for the majority of the series.
Congrats to Garden River's Jordan Nolan!!!! I bet Ted is soooo proud!!! Bring the Cup home!!!
BTW Marty would have had to post 3 shutouts in a row to win the first 3 games......highly unlikely....even for the shutout King!
Brodeur has already stated that he is returning next year. Next season he will get his 30,000th save and 700th win in the regular season.
Brodeur needs to play 43 more games in the playoffs to surpass Patrick Roy. He can do it in 2 seasons if he plays all for rounds of 7 games. 4 x 7 = 28 games x 2 years = 56 games.
Brodeur needs to play 2493 more minutes in the playoffs to surpass Patrick Roy.
Brodeur needs 39 more playoff wins to surpass Patrick Roy.
Brodeur needs 1892 more saves in the playoffs to surpass Patrick Roy.
Brodeur has to keep playing until he breaks all of Patrick Roy's playoff records!

He is only 3 playoff losses from breaking Roy's record.
QUOTE(#7):
Why?
So he can become the number one NHL goaltender of all time for both the regular season and the playoffs. He' already number one in the regular season. His records will never be broken.
