Boxing  > General Boxing  > WBO panel: Pacquiao beat Bradley

Okaaaaay, now that we have that cleared up.....let's open another panel, and ask a question. If it's so easy for a panel to review a controversial fight, then why don't they also remove Bradley's WBO belt and award it to Paq-Man? As a matter of fact, why not review ALL title fights that are as this one was, horribly scored, and just be done with it. How hard could this actually be. Not hard at all.

Any takers on this?

So you think a panel who watches a fight replay on tape (and has to rely on the television camera angles) should have more authority than the judging panel who watch and score the fight live? Why even have judges then?

Even though the decision was awful, you can't just overule the judges unless there's some type of evidence of corruption, referee error (like in Hopkins-Dawson I), or some other mitigating factor beyond simple incompetence.

At best, a review panel can mandate a rematch for their title. If Bradley refuses to grant it, he could then be stripped of the belt.

4 camera angles are better than 1 angle, would you not agree? I also was referring to ONLY those fights that were surrounded by controversy, I never implied ALL fights. Perhaps if the judges knew that they were subject to a serious review of THEIR performance, they might think twice of throwing a fight themselves...sort-of-speak. Nothings perfect in sports, much less the world, but it's simply an idea, and nothing more. Thanx for the comment!

I'm referring to 4 good camera angles, not the judges.

The review is meaningless.

Yes Manny won that fight with Bradley. Should they have reviewed it to see who really won? (I say NO!). It was a waste of time and money. I've never seen it done before (First time). Is it going to improve how fights are judged (NO!). Close fights left to the judeges to decide are still going to be controversial no matter what you do. Manny should have just knocked him out. Sometimes he just plays around so the people can enjoy the fight and all the money they spent to watch it.
