I don't think the players paid for that champagne but I don't expect a guy like you to even consider that, let alone understand that concept.......

Which elected official are you talking about, when you say public.
If this person is not an elected official, it is not really anybodies business.
I await your clarification.

Role models should be your parents...not an athlete.
That is what is wrong with society today, they want their role models to be athletes and entertainers.
Role models should be people who make positive contributions to society...that last time I looked, playing athletics is not a positive contribution to society...I would consider a positive contribution to society a doctor, a nurse, a fire man.
Not all people have a their parents in there life. and would be more served at looking at people like Barack Obama or Mitt Romney as role models. Even though I do not care for the brand of politics either of these men present...they have both made positive contributions to society, regardless of their political affiliations.

Being a celebrity does not make you a role model.

Mom's & Dad's teach their children right from wrong, not to emulate an athlete or entertainer, because they performed good. Now their are some athletes who do make good role models, but that is not their job...Or Tim Tebow would be the best in the world.
Watching sports with your kids should be a positive experience for a family...but for a parent to use that athlete a role model or guide, is a failure of parenting.
