Big Ben 6'8" won 2 Rose Bowls when he played at Washington, In 1961 during his rookie season he was part of the NFL Champions Green Bay Packers. He went to Washington for 2 years and then found his way to the AFL Oakland Raiders and made the AFL All Star team 3 years in a row 66,67,68. He also faced his old team the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl in which Green Bay won. He was one of the true characters of the team. Whenever I would think of the Raiders I would think of him.

Big fan. The Lite beer commercial (arm wrestling...hilarious) was great, but I remember a photo in an olde NFL magazine when I was a kid of him sitting on Joe Namth's back after a sack and puching his head into the mud.
And i too, associate the "real" Raiders with him

A honest-to-God Raider legend... and one of my favorites growing up.

When Davidson played for the Packers, Vince Lombardi referred to him as "Gentle Ben".
