Can it get any worse for our national team than to walk into Olympic stadium wearing a uniform that had been manufactured in CHINA:

Lawmakers were outraged Thursday after an ABC World News report revealed that the U.S. Olympic team's opening ceremony outfits are made in China. Some suggested making a bonfire with the outfits, which include berets and blazers.

"I think they should take all the uniforms, put them in a big pile and burn them and start all over again," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said when asked by ABC News today, "If they have to wear nothing but a singlet that says USA on it, painted by hand, that is what they should wear."

Who made USA Olympic uniforms in the past? The USA?

Or have they been manufactured overseas for years and people just want to throw a fit over it now?

Are the Canadian uniforms made in Canada? Does Finland manufacture Finnish uniforms? Do Jamaicans make their own Olympic uniforms? How about Trinidad and Tobago? Or this just some kind of American pride thing that only applies to the US?

Has to do with jobs and outsourcing work.

If you enjoy having high levels of unemployment due to the fact no one in your country can get manufacturing jobs (outsourcing)......then yes, who cares. LOL.......Geeeez.

Not something I'm gonna lose any sleep over, but yeah, I think it sucks that the USA uniforms were made in China.

It's the EMBARRASING part that stinks. If our country was soooo dirt poooor, then yes, I could see us out sourcing for the teams clothes. BUT seriously....CHINA? Why not give the contract to our NICEST neighbor. MEXICO! lol
