Yea, that's what I was thinking. I remember when the East Germans introduced the world to steroids. A lot of those athletes are either dead now or handicapped in some way from the abuse.

LONDON ??? By the time Daniel Craig had ushered Queen Elizabeth II into a helicopter outside a palace, by the time that helicopter hovered and whirred over Olympic Stadium and two people leaped into the cool night air ??? as their Union Jack parachutes opened brilliantly to the James Bond theme ??? the anthem made even more sense.

My mother was watching and was appalled by her majesties attire. "Why do/she insist on wearing those "RAGS" in public? She looks pathetic!" LOL, I must agree. the ROYAL MUTHA looks CHEAP in public.

(CBS News) Sir Paul McCartney closed the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony leading the crowd in a mass sing-a-long of "Hey Jude."

The 70-year-old legendary Beatle opened with the Beatles classic "The End" at the piano. Then he launched into "Hey Jude" while the crowd sang along to every word.

It was a spectacular ending to filmmaker Danny Boyle's "Isle of Wonder" opening ceremony that featured a catalogue of British music from the Rolling Stones to British rapper Dizzee Rascal.

The ceremony also included special guest appearances from famous Brits including Daniel Craig as James Bond, Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean and Queen Elizabeth II.

OKAAAAAY...we half expected this, but where was Britain's first ever Tour de France's inclusion?
Mr. Wiggins just won the tour.....he should have carried the torch into the stadium. On his tour bike.....lol.

At the age of 88 my Aunt Alva went hang gliding. She was tethered to the instructor but still, 88 years old and hang gliding. Not to take anything away from the Queen, but Auntie Alva didn't use a stunt double. hehehe
