I'm a little late in posting this so sue me.

Mir is moving over to SF to fight Cormier. I think Cormier wrecks Frank.

Thoughts?

Agreed. Cormier will tune Mir.

But it's good matchmaking to help build Cormier's reputation prior to him moving over to the UFC for a title shot against JDS or Bones.

Jim, I see a potential bet on this one.

We will have to see what the odds are.

I really wish Frank would stop taking these silly no win fights. Doesn't Travis Browne need an opponent now? Frank can tap him out easily and call it a day but nooooo he wants to chase Junior and Cormier. SMH

It will probably be 4 to 1 if not 5 to 1 in favor of Cormier.

If the odds are that long a bet on Mir may be in order.

Not that I think he'll win, just that I think he has a way of winning.

Would it be the craziest thing ever if he just locks up a kimura, kneebar or side choke? I don't think so.

I was thinking it would be 2.5 - 3 to 1.

Frank is a skill and finesse guy...he can't handle the raw power some of the less skilled guys bring to the cage...Cormier will do to Mir what Lesnar did to Mir, what Carwin did to Mir, what JDS did to Mir....

I respect the fact that Mir isn't pulling a Fedor...he goes for the biggest fish he can land a fight with...he isn't looking to rack up meaningless wins that everyone sees for the sham they are...Mir could go find Jeff Monson, but instead, he is willing to go head to head with a guy that might knock JDS off his perch soon enough...

I'm not saying Frank needs to go fight Hong Man Choi in Japan, I'm just saying that we as fans know what Mir's kryptonite is, a wrestler with heavy hands. I just wish he'd acknowledge this and take a fight more suited to his style instead of playing Bleed for Dollars for Dana.

By "everyone" I assume you mean you and Dana? Because everyone else had him ranked number one until the Werdum fight but you two.

yeah, you notice how everyone else was wrong? you notice how most of the world changed their minds? it's kinda like the difference between me figuring out calculus on my own vs other people having to wait and learn it from a teacher/professor step by step....there are those of us that are capable of thought and then there is everyone else who never knows more than what is taught to them....

I love Murr, but he needs to switch training camps. Hes been with his Dad forever. Go train at extreme couture or something.

I think Frank is at a point where he cannot improve his current skillset..

If he can keep it standing, i think Mir can win this fight.

I always believe in the older fighters a little longer than i should. It usually costs me a few $'s.

If you watched the behind the scenes thing before he fought JDS, he wasnt training too hard. Its great that hes a family man and all, but hes a profesional, and needs to stop being content. He can still be a very dangerous fighter.
