A guy at work today asked me, "What's going on with your team?"

I was about to go into 25 different things, when I realised.... I just don't know.

Since the end of the season almost nothing has happened that would give me, you or anyone outside of the Chiefs org. any thing to go on.

We knew Carl was out, so the hiring of Pioli was great, but we knew a new guy was coming. He fired Herm, we had a hunch that was going to happen, but nobody was sure.

Now we know nothing. Everything is our speculation. We knew where the team was heading with Herm. Younger, built through the draft. Now we think that plan is still in motion to a certain degree, but what degree is that? Are older guys back in the mix? How active will the Chiefs be in free agency? What positions are the keys? We talk here about players we think/thought were too old for what the Chiefs were doing... who we'd like to see in the huddle... who will the 1st round pick be used on? Now every single thing concerning the Chiefs is up in the air.

So while we, the fans, normally have a bit of insight as to where our favorite team is heading... Right now we know squat. We know for sure we have a new GM and he fired the coach... That's all there really is so far.

Do I have any faith in Pioli? I guess I have as much faith in him as I have in the guy flying my plane. He has a great track record, and he has never crashed and burned. But when the decisions start rolling in, we'll see how he does. I'm hoping for the best... I love this team from the bottom of my heart, and I would love to see the future headlines read..."Pioli leaves Chiefs after 16 years 4 rings and much success to bring "The Chiefs Way" to the struggling team in (crap team here)"

I guess it's time to sit back and let the man do his job... Good luck Scott Pioli, our hopes are riding on you.....
