What would be even worse, is if the Federal court does in fact overturn all of the sanctions, and Penn State walks with no sanctions from the NCAA whatsoever other than the 9 players that have transferred and the recruits they already have and will lose.
Penn State = okay to molest children. As long as nobody tells.

The powers that be at Penn State should spend some time worrying about the prison trustee. They aren't out of the woods yet.

They certainly have more to worry about than the NCAA sanctions. What's crazy is the school accepted the penalties. Yet some people want to fight for them..?

Nobody said that, they said the courts should make those decisions.
But if the NCAA can make that kind of decisions, then, I think the Red Cross should penalize all men $1000.00 since a woman only makes 77 cent for every dollar, that a man makes.
I guess it is OK to make women second class citizens.
Most likley a court of law will be deciding if the NCAA overstepped their authority in the sanctions/penalties they handed down. Lawyers are lining up now!!!
What they did may have been the right thing to do morally...but that is not for them to decide, that is for the courts.
If only Paterno and the leaders at PSU had used this example!
Instead, they did the least they could do, that still fell within the legal guidelines. Never once giving a thought to what was the morally right thing to do.
That is immoral...and maybe illegal.
But that jurisdiction resides with the courts.

They're fighting because they think it's BS their wins are being taken away when they, nor were any player, involved in what went down. They are basically saying take it from Joe. Not us. In a way, I can see what they are fighting for. But I am not sure I agree with them doing it.
The NCAA had to do something, I agree. But the thing is...this time no players were involved and there is no solid proof of what Joe knew and hid. Now, I think he knew the deal and hid it, but maybe didn't really realize it? I don't know. But they are also getting mad because it is most likely that the three men in charge will walk. While Joe gets stripped of everything and the players are punished. Yet the president, director, etc... get nothing. 1998 was investigated and no charges were pressed. 2001 on is a different story.
At least that's what I am taking from it. Not saying I agree or what not... but that's what I'm thinking is going on here.
