When the Lakers picked up Nash from Phoenix they became a serious contender again. That's common sense since everybody knows what Nash is all about. The Nash deal gets the Lakers past the second round of the playoffs.


But with the addition of Howard, the Lakers are not only contenders but a lock for the title!


By the way, the Lakers beefed up their bench too but that's a different story.
