MMA  > General MMA  > Bones Jones will TKO Henderson on Sept. 1'st

At least that is what Jon Jones says. I, for one don't doubt it for one minute. Jones is a beast.

Here is what he had to say recently:

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has taken down the best fighters the Ultimate Fighting Championship could throw his way, but Dan Henderson is one legend he has yet to put in the rear view mirror.

While Jones is confident in victory, as he always has been, he doesn't just plan to walk away with a victory on September 1 in Las Vegas.

No, he believes he has the ability to be the first fighter to earn a technical knockout against the PRIDE and UFC star, who he calls a "one-trick pony."

QUOTE(#1):

He doesn't have much one shot power and Hendos chin is made of granite.

I agree, but if the punch lands in the right spot, every fighter has a one punch knock out possibility.

That why (to me) it is surprising that Hendo has never been tko'ed. He has taken so many punches, yet none have hit that perfect spot.

it's the shape of his head....it's so round and that distributes the force of a strike around his skull instead of through it to batter his brain...you'll notice that the fighters that can take the most punishment to the head are fighters with very round heads....fighters like Brian Stann have that big jaw that looks impressive but doesn't distribute force all that well and he might get KO'd by Bisping....

I say he will probably get tapped if he loses the fight. Bones might be able to get him into a position on the ground where Hendo can't get up and TKO him, but he won't put him out cold.

If anyone is going to sleep here it is Bones. We shall see...

I wouldn't say a standing guilltine like the one Jones used on Machida is out of the question....with the height difference, there is a very high likelihood that Jones will be able to lock one on from the clinch just about anytime they get that close....

I can't remember, does Hendo tap or let the lights go out?

I don't have the best memory, but I think I remember him tapping to Big Nog. Shamed to say I missed the Anderson fight.

He tapped to Anderson's rear naked

Jones will tap Hendo, but lets all hope Hendo can pop Jones and see if Jones can take it like a man.
