GOOD IDEA BUT WE NEED A NEW QB.WHO CARES MIKE VICK GETTING OUT OF JAIL GET HIM HE COULD GET THE OFFENSE RUNNING.OR USE DRAFT PICK WISELY AND PICK UP A RB/WR PERCY HARVIN WHOULD FIT IN GREAT.
Somehow, we just missed Matt Cassell for a 2nd round pick??? How'd that happen? Crabtree's foot injury is being called not serious. And, he's still a potential next Jerry Rice. We need him because Holt will be gone. Pace will be gone too. I think Spag and Jason Brown will snap the O-Line to attention. I'd expect much better play out of Barron, Incognito and Bell now. And, we can pick up Pace's replacement in rounds 2-7. We kept Atogwe. Now I hope we can get Butler and retain Bartell. Chris Long@ 260 lbs, needs to move to LB. Witherspoon's still a good player. Even though he's old, we kept Little. Now Carriker needs to show something in his 3rd year. Chavous is out and Pisa, Tye Hill and Fakir Brown need to be gone. So the defense is going to have some journey men in 2009. Even with a mediocre O-Line, if Bulger's got Jackson to hand the ball to and Crabtree, Avery, Burton and McMichael as targets, we should score some points this season. Even if a lot of them come from Josh Brown FG's. With even a slightly improved defense, I could see the Rams winning a few games by scores of 34-31, 28-27, 30-27, 24-23, etc. in 2009 and maybe going 7-9 or 8-8.
screw it, im not for aiming for a 7-9 season, I say go for broke, worst to first, either be primed to make a run in the playoffs, or tank it to be able to draft Bradford or McCoy next year. Hey if we grab Crabtree, hows about a run at Gram Harrell in the later rounds? Nice little reunion!! Im not so much worried about the D because Spags will bring a cattle prod to practice until they decide to tackle someone. I do agree about Jackson, right on Tweeder!! Ship him to the Desert for Boldin and then we can take the top OL in 1st round and Brown in Round2. The perfect trade for both sides could be... sayyyy, Jackson and Holt for Boldin and 2nd round or that low 1st round they hold.

Exactly who will run the ball for us if Jackson goes......??? Not Leonard, not Pittman, not Karney, and not likely Darby. Jax is ALL we've got at RB. And, while I didn't like his holdout last year, he's a great player, he's young, and he's big and tall. With Karney and Jason Brown there to block for him, Jax might pickup 1500 rush yards this year. And, he can catch passes too. I do agree 100% with getting Crabtree. He'd be an immediate impact player. Between, Crab, Avery, Burton, McMichael and Jackson, even Bulger might be able to hit one of 'em.
