It doesn't seem like the coroner would be the last word on something like that. Someone with extensive knowledge of brain injuries like the kind other NFL players have had would be better suited for that sort of opinion.

I agree,a Coroner isn't the 'last word' on something like that, i'd certainly go with a 2nd or 3rd opinion for that.
