I don't think Jones is scared of anyone but Chael can be a dangerous guy and Chael has been training with Hendo so he is more prepared then he is letting on. Should John have taken the fight, in my way of thinking yes. Your the champ, supposed to be the greatest at what you do. Plus Chael was going to give you his money for the fight.
I know one thing if I was a Jones fan and had my tickets in hand to go to Vegas I would be pissed.

Chael only made the comment about the money because he knew the fight wasn't happening....he was talking $h!t like he always does....it was an empty gesture, like offering your services to someone when you KNOW they'll turn down the offer...

To suggest that the guy that just steamrolled through the top LHWs in the world in the past year or so is scared of the joke that is Chael Sonnen is just plain stupid. You should smack the $h!t out of your mother for giving birth to you after having such a ridiculous thought....sorry, but people don't tear through former LHW champs Road Rage, Machida, Rua, and Evans and then quiver at the thought of a MW that has lost 2 shots at the MW title...

As much as I want to see Belfort punch Jones I am not paying for the card since Jones only fights to make money and only thinks of himself. Its important that we (fans) make a statement before MMA becomes like boxing.

It's people like Jones that almost make me want to go back to 2005-2007 MMA.. Pride was rocking and there were no "businessmen" holding belts. There were f%$#in' fighters (as Dana would say). This guy has all the talent in the world but I'll be damned if I ever pay money to watch him fight again. What a joke of a human being.

Sonnen basically made the comment AFTER it was already decided to call off the event....the fight wasn't happening so Sonnen had nothing to lose by jokingly suggesting that he'd be willing to fight...he could have said that he'd also fight with both hands tied behind his back....he was trying to make a point when it was already too late to be called out on it.

He still would've been paid. He was saying he'd give his fight purse, not his PPV bonus or sponsorship money.

The 80,000 "purse" he makes was what he was saying he'd give away. And I'm pretty sure the Win Bonus, had he won, doesn't apply to the "purse."

Jones put his personal interests ahead of the UFC's.

No different than most athletes in other sports.

It was all worth it to hear the Punchers Pimp White cry whine and groan afterwards. What an insincere Toad. He is not floored that the sub was not accepted, he is merely crying from the folds of his wallet.
