you have to trade for a guy that is going to be cut from a team that is expected to have one of the worst records in the coming season.

The Cowboys have traded for offensive lineman Ryan Cook, giving the Miami Dolphins a seventh-round pick in 2013. Cook was expected to be among the Dolphins' cuts today, but by trading for him, the Cowboys assure themselves of getting a veteran who can play the interior of the line.

Cook, a second-round draft choice of the Vikings in 2006, has played tackle, guard and center. The Dolphins acquired him off the waiver wire last year, and he played guard and center for them in 2011. He was beaten out by undrafted rookie Josh Samuda for the backup center spot in Miami

Unfortunately these things happen due to injuries and poor draft picks etc. of course having J.J. as owner/GM doesn't help matters. I can sympathise with you and understand what you feel being a Bear fan and having watched sub par players being brought in to fill out a roster due to poor management.
