Bump

September 4, 2012  10:11 PM ET

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and predict that FSU will "shock the world" by toppling mighty Savannah State this week.

Matter of fact, I'm gonna go all Floyd "Where's my money?" Mayweather and bet $3 million on Florida State.

Where you been hiding yourself, EWO? Good to see you around.

Eh, I've been around, just not as much as I used to be. Workin' two jobs now, so not as much free time.

So, what do you think of my prediction? Think we've got a chance to knock off Savannah State? If we play to our potential, play mistake-free ball, and suffer no major injuries, then I really think we've got a shot. I know it's unlikely, but I'm a true believer.

I know that Sav. State is hurting. It's been posted that their sacrifice-for-benjamins game at OSU grossed them only $300k (Boone should pony up a bonus; his alma mater is cheap as well as classless.). So, how much is FSU paying the tiggers to get paved over in Tallahassee?

I heard they only got 850,000 for the two games and other AD's are saying it should have been north of 1m.

Coach is now having 2nd thoughts on this and the AD is thinking about doing something similar next year....

FSU by 3.

In the first 5 mins. At the end of the game FSU by about 70.

BTW if SDSU loses to Army the season is pretty much over for us... But I think we beat Army by 10 or so.

I don't see your Aztecs losing to Army.

Well, it IS PITT so saying its CFB may be a bit of a stretch...

No kidding. If you are watching that game, it's flat out fugly. Letting the clock run to zero at the half when you're on the 3 yard line? Atrocious.

September 6, 2012  11:18 PM ET

Sad thing is PITT has a lot of talent on that squad...

Does this mean Bearcats and Penguins are higher on the food chain than Panthers?

EWO:
Good to see you. Are you still "in the bay"?

If so, I was down in your neck of the woods a few weeks ago for a meeting. Rented a boat and went around De Soto park and Shell Key. That's the one thing I miss living in the mountains. You can't just take a 15 minute drive to the beach or hop in a boat to fish for some Reds.
