This is a non-story. They still can't play for the Big Ten title or go bowling so big flippin deal.

B1G went out of its way to make this decision just like way they fought to get the TAT5 eligible for the Sugar Bowl. Sit out 5 games next year. How many of the 5 actually sat out games?

The Tat5 and this story aren't even remotely connected. If you want to dredge up old dirt on the Big Ten and or Ohio State, I'm not taking the bait. This trophy story is a non issue to me.

It shows a pattern of making exceptions for schools with NCAA issues.

BS&B....can't argue here...no win....trust me on this one.....

I think the same can be said in TRIPLICATE for the...

SEC! SEC! SEC!

Auburn 93 was not the SEC West champs.

The only thing I can think is it has an impact on bonuses for the new head coaches which I think hurt the university, that is unless they still get a cut of bowl money and big 10 championship game.

September 5, 2012  09:09 PM ET

Compare to 12PAC....USC was clearly the better team last year, but they weren't the division champs....if the team isn't eligible, it isn't eligible.

Kind of like suspended a player for one game....then picking a weak OOC game for the suspension....really...

September 5, 2012  09:10 PM ET

Okay just read the article, he get $50k for the most wins in the division, I wonder if the players will get division championship rings?

Fricking Frack, Norka does have a point on that one thanks to Zooker and now Sumlin.

That's nothing. Matt Leinart sat out his first five *years* in the NFL.

LOL. Veggies make poor bait. Poor Coop... a 111-43-4 record and even defeating LUSt in '88 wasn't enough to overshadow his lackluster record vs. TSUN. Crazy fans in C-bus.

I'm sure Urban is dissecting every second of the Alabama-TSUN game film from last week. A Leaders Division trophy this year might be nice, but Nov 24 is the bowl game.
