You may have heard about the Maryland delegate who wrote a letter to the Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti chastising a players support of gay marriage.

It's amazing enough that this even occurred. However, you MUST read the response from Chris Kluwe - the punter for the Vikings. It's CLASSIC!

Give a punter 5 minutes of fame and this is what you get baby!

Me either EZ (and nice to see you!). But if you want a good laugh, you've got to read that deadspin link in response to the politician. It's one for the ages!

I really believe gay folks should be allowed the same misery as married straight folk!

Ha! True!

I didn't mean to start a debate on gay marriage - but rather direct you to the response from the Vikings player. I don't think I've seen that many cuss words in one letter before! Jim would love it :-)

Holy Christ, LIHI, thank you for this thread and those links. Absofuckinglutely perfect. Except for that First amendment thing.

I was literally cackling in the office! And yeah, the misuse of the first amendment is so common, I'm not sure I even know what it means anymore.

Dawn,
I have no problem with that, live life the way ya want.

Gay marriage isn't even the central issue here, its called freedom of speech. This is absolutely out of line that a politician is telling an American citizen that he can not voice his opinions on an issue. With the quality of politicians in office this sums up what our government is becoming and that is scary.
