NFL  > Buffalo Bills  > Bills moving to LA?
September 18, 2012, 12:01 AM
I get the sneaky suspicion that the NFL is wanting to move the Bills out of Buffalo. They're already playing a couple games in Toronto. I just don't trust the league on this one. I hope I'm wrong, but this just doesn't seem right. The Bills signed a ONE YEAR lease agreement with Erie County and they seem to be trying to put the county and the state in an impossible position, as if they're waiting for the right offer from L.A.

always an interesting time when troll hunting season opens. (coincides with the opening of the NFL schedule)

I live in Buffalo and this is a very hot topic among many of the fans here. Many Bills fans are paranoid that the team will leave. It is a very interesting culture and hard to explain but the Bills are a major part of this city. Just like the city they are an underdog team always trying to do better but always seeming to fall short. It would be a major blow to the city and the die hard fan base here if they left.

That being said there are a lot of variables here. The stadium is old, they are playing more and more games in Toronto, the deal with the county is shaky, and Wilson's family does not care to own the team. (That is a big deal since Wilson is in his 90s and his health has been failing).

i agree,.....looks like the writing's on the wall [esp. signing a 1-yr.ext. on the lease],....maybe they're waiting for the season to end or ralph to end [sorry] before they start taking ''offers'' ?,.....hopefully there's a billionaire in buffalo that'll keep it there and get a new stadium built too [??].

what about the Jim Kelly group of investors?

Yikes. Would have to change the name for sure. Los Angeles Bills? Yeah, that just sounds stupid......unless the logo changes to a Bill Cosby face with jello next to it. "WEEEELLLLL YA SEEEEEEE!!!"

THIS IS THE 18TH SEASON without a team in Los Angeles.

THIS is probably the 500th rumor of yet another team moving there.

Buffalo is the least likely of the so-called contenders (Minnesota, SD and Jax).

LA fans didn't support the Rams or Raiders when they played there. LA fans would rather watch the Lakers.

that ( W I D E ) right missed field-goal when the bills lost to the giants cost me and my brother $10-grand [superbowl/1990 ?] in our $100-dollar superbowl square we shared !.......mother-[f]kker !

I heard Scott Norwood no longer has nightmares about that kick.

I wonder if Gostowski's had any about last weeks kick?

Gostowski has been a very good kicker and one glitch shouldn't reflect badly on him.

500th?

I'd say that's a bit low...
