The Cowboys were penalized 13 times this past weekend which gives us a total of 30 for 3 games. I can understand 4 false start penalties for games 1 and 2 because we were on the road, but at home. Are you kidding me? Doug Free's blocking has gone from bad to worse, he can't even seal the backside on a zone play so that Murray can cut it back. This is suppose to be a more athletic o-line! Witten is having a bad case of the drops, but its his false starts that are a bigger concern. Play Phillips until Witten gets better. Romo needs to work more with his o-line after practice so they can improve on their false starts.

Finally heard D-Ware make a game changing sack or fumble towards the end of the game. Heard most of the game on the radio as I was doing the honey doos. The D needs to continue to get better and be a top 5 defense in order for the Cowboys to reach the playoffs.

Romocoaster:
1st game, Romo was very good (B+); 2nd game, not very good (D); 3rd game, not very good (D); and Romo will do well because it follows the Romocoaster pattern.

The fact that the o-line is a mess is not and should not be a surprise to anyone. There really has been no improvement since training camp. Because of that I can't blame Romo for really any mistakes he has made. He got beat up really good yesterday, including a helmet to helmet hit which of course was not called by those wonderful replacement refs. The defense has been pretty solid so far. Although you never really hear Spencer's name that much.

The Defense played very well yesterday. They are going to carry the team for awhile... until the offense gets head right with ball.

But if the O-Line doesn't start playing better, Romo and/or Murray are going to be out and this team is going 6-10.

I have yet to watch a game where the announcers have not been exasperated by the officiating. I thought Collinsworth was going to jump off a ledge last night when the refs stopped play for a measurement when the ball was clearly a yard from the first down marker. That gave Harbaugh extra time to check to see if he should challenge the spot, which he did and he won the challenge.

It's Romo's fault to a certain extent. False starts have been a problem for the Cowboys with Romo at quarterback. I hope that he learns how to draw the defense offsides and to have them show their blitzes without causing our o-line to committ false starts.
