NFL  > General NFL  > Could it have been a "Fix"?? after all the books cleaned up
September 25, 2012, 05:49 PM
With 73% to 78% of all the money last night on the Packers at -3 1/2 one could put this on the books.

Did they "Fix it"? Was that replacement ref paid off? I mean really if your a ref in Pop Warner you don't miss that obvious call.

No matter how you look at it the books are the big winners.

Over $15,000,000 difference just at the legal books in State, not counting all the illegal betting going on everywhere else. MNF is big business.

The opportunity is definately greater with the replacements! FOR SURE!

It is a very good possibility.

After witnessing the refs debacle in week # 1, 49ers vs Packers, clearly a block in the back by a Packer against #24 Anthony Dixon on punt coverage, though flags were thrown the refs just picked them up as if nothing had happened. It was then that I warned people against making bets on NFL games. My reasoning was that the refs were controlling the outcome of the games and the point spreads. If the NFL had regular refs in the game and they were making so many blatant errors the FBI would be investigating for point shaving and racketeering.

Pete Carroll wasn't shocked. After all he is used to corruption from his days at USC.

I read worldwide it was a $150 million dollar swing when the ruling was made on the field. so much money was bet on the packers.
