It's up early again this week.

So an end to ND-Michigan series....
Can an end to ND-Spartans be far behind?

I've read ND is sticking with Navy, Stanford, USC, and will fit in the best of the Big-10, and the best of the Big-12, so I guess that leaves out Michigan. OH SMACK!!!!

The thing that makes me the saddest with all the re-alignment and BCS bowl shenanigans is long standing traditions that have, or are, dying.

A good example is OU Nebraska. Only us oltimers realize that game was an annual slugfest as good as any; until the B-8 and SWC merger that put the 2 in diff divisions of the B12, thus nplaying every OTHER year instead of every year, destroying one of the great rivalries.

JMO....but I always saw the RRSO as the big rivalry for OU...Neb was a good game and the winner, for a while, was in the National Title hunt....and was always for the Big8 title...but I don't miss it that much

Growing up in Nebraska, every time I hear the Oklahoma fight song I get flooded with great memories. Not a big fan of either team, it just brings back great memories of the 70's.

The end of that rivalry hasn't really mattered since Osborne left coaching.

I guess the "Golden Boy's" suggestions are being followed...it just took a few years to bring it to fruition.



And for those who forgot, he said ND's schedule was too hard, and they needed to play lesser quality opponents. So, they'll drop most of the good teams to replace with worse teams.

Are you forgetting 5 games against ACC opponents? Navy, Stanford, USC... that leaves at least three other games. Probably for a patsy school or two, as they could have kept Michigan. I guess Sparty will be next, as they'd probably rather keep Purdue and/or Indiana.
