NFL  > General NFL  > The Boycott is on
September 26, 2012, 12:09 AM
Whether people like it or not, some fans are DONE with the GARBAGE that the WWF, I mean the NFL is serving. A few people on this board have agreed to NOT WATCH the NFL until the real refs return. Although most fans will decide to keep watching, the fact that the NFL is losing viewers is going to weigh on their decision to end the lockout. I received a facebook notification from a person who is petioning people on FB to boycott.

Viewers can drop off like flies but the league is still getting their tv and advertising revenue whether you watch or not.

If some fans do not want to give up watching the games then do the next best thing (maybe better) BOYCOTT all NFL TV Sponso products

Only a players walkout would get the attention of the owners.

100% TRUE. But those ratings will affect future contracts and the league CONSTANTLY watches those numbers.

Dear LeBron Modell,

What is your problem? Are you having problems at school or with your job or what? You are so angry and are venting it here at FN even though it will not help your cause. I can only assume that anger is based somewhere else and not REALLY with the NFL. I would be willing to help you find a therapist in your area if you are interested. Otherwise, God bless. I wish the best for you and anyone you are personally associated with.

Sincerely,
Sweets

The NFL will still command huge bucks regardless if there is a blip in attendance or viewership.

It's a pity when someone like fry daddy is allowed to continue on these forums while real contributors get banned for frivolous fodder.

fans aren't going to stop watching and players will never walk out over this.... too much lost money for them. and if fans did stop, it would have no affect on this problem. all we can do is hope there aren't any more horrible calls like monday nite and that calls like that might in some way encourage a settlement. i for one, will be watching this wknd and especially monday nite!!

I am a real contributor. The only thing you talk about is drinking, burping, farting and driving a Pinto.

The Sun/Mon night games seem to bring out the worst in these replacements. Monday night should be an Arlington train wreck.
