NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > Dallas Cowboys.... Cash Cows Last 17 Years Even Without Success
September 26, 2012, 10:29 AM
There are alot of haters out there that claim that Dallas fans are "front runners"? They claim they are lousy fans who abandon the team after they start to lose? Well NFL merchandise sales show Dallas fans buy no matter what product iis on the field. They have been in the top 5 in sales the last 13 years despite only two division titles and an 89-97 .451 record. Yet Dallas fans buy more merchandise then most other teams who are having more success. Dallas continues to draw the top commentaters to do their games because they are the most viewed franchise. This is the main reason the Cowboys are hated. Other teams fans think their team isn't important and thats very true. They want their team to have thousands of loyal fans around the country but instead peole show indifference. Oh the haters say "They've only won one playoff since!!!!....." only to hear another register ringing.. cahching chaching, another Romo jersey sold. Haters have to be sick knowing that most of the merchandise buyers are too young to have even seen the Cowboys last championship? Yet Dallas has a sex appeal unmatched in sports history. Who in America cares about the cheating Patriots or the Packers? All the Giants do after winning the Super Bowl is not make the playoffs the following year. They failed to do so in 87, 91 and 2008? What a "great?" team they were. Fans were saying the Steelers or the Saints were Americas Team? No lets let the tv ratings and merchandise sales show who is over the last 40 years? Dallas is most popular team in the NFL, win or lose.

lol OK, be happy around your friends who only accept you when they can laugh at our team. Things are fine with them when you say Jerry is a fool. As long as the Cowboys suck they'll talk to you. My first post here was a positive one about Dez after they drafted him and they blasted me. The fans say "Romo Sucks" ? Hasn't he thrown for over 4000 yards like four times but who is counting. Isn't Jones tied for third in nfl history with three Super Bowl rings in just 23 years? Yea.... he sucks too. "Hes the worst owner in the nfl " they scream! Too bad their teams are garbage. No they are insulting fans and we will never be liked. How old are you? lol if someone despises you..... it ain't never ever gonna change!!! No they call me a lousy fan. I'll prove them wrong. I just spoke the truth is all I did.

Have you ever thought that with such a cash cow JJ doesn't have that great of an incentive to put a better product on the field? I'm not saying he doesn't but judging by the last 17 years..well????

OMG....this is not a poularity contest. This is simply about how freakin' annoying most of your posts are.

It doesn't matter to me what ANYONE else thinks of me and my love of the Cowboys.

Jerry is a fool.
I never said Romo sucked.
I still like Dez even though I think he has disappointed so far this year.

Are you straight now with what I've said and have just repeated or are you going to make crAp up again to suit your own needs??

He needs to understand hes not a gm and he can't accept it. Its a pride thing.

so product sales and TV ratings define america's team LOL... only in america. yes, dallas does and may always will have that "something" that other teams lack and maybe that drives the popularity, and revenue. but at some point in time new generations that aren't too familiar with the success dallas has had in the past might begin to wonder why dallas is considered america's team. just saying.... the fact that dallas remains popular today may change over time if they are unable to achieve the success past dallas teams had. and i think i read an article in just the last few mths that suggested this shift to other teams having this label is already happening, based on the cowboys lack of success in the last 15 yrs.
