NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > Browns should lose BIG to Giants in week 5 to go to 0 - 5!!!

I hope the losing continues, we have some pieces in place, we just don't have enough of them. If we can get the top overall pick and then trade down a few times, we should be able to stockpile some picks over the next two seasons and build a team around Weeden and Richardson. We have no offensive line (other than Joe Thomas). The defense is very good, considering they spend too much time on the field. I'm looking forward to the new owner coming in and changing the culture, at least he wants to be here, the Browns played second fiddle to Lerner's soccer team and Haslam seems to be a breath of fresh air.

Imagine what the Browns could do if they earn the #1 overall pick every season for the next decade!

They've had it numerous times over the last several decades and picked such HOF's as Tim Couch.

Maybe with the new owner that could change or maybe not?????

looks like holmgren's days are #'d ....!

Well, he's 0 -4 in his third season and he has his hopes pinned on a 28 year old rookie quarterback who is the franchises 6th starting QB in six seasons. Yes, I'd say he's earned his exit.

So then who would be doing the drafting with Holmgren out? Any idea who would step in if he's canned?

Good question. Probably someone from the Steelers who the new owner snatches away. The Browns can only help themselves if they attempt to copy the Steelers in every way.

I'm sure that Haslam who was part owner of the Steelers has a few candidates in mind.
My favorite Browns player right now is Greg Little. After a rookie season in which he dropped balls like they were hot potatos, he has continued with his CONSISTENCY. He had a ball deflect off his hands in week one at the opponents one yard line, only to be intercepted. Last night he dropped a touchdown pass in the end zone. It is CONSISTENT play like that which should allow us to be in on the Matt Barkley sweepstakes. When Little does do what he's paid to do and actually catches the football, he is know to go into a full force victory dance as if he's caught the game winner in the Super Bowl.
