This team is incapable of getting out of its own way.
And - let's stop kidding ourselves. This is NOT a playoff team nor a playoff contender. Playoff teams do not make the types of weekly mistakes this one makes. From uninspired coaching to dumb players making dumb mistakes to a QB that tries to do too much to an inept GM...
This team is going to be EXTREMELY lucky to be 3-5 at the midway point of this season.

we may have been too generous with our 7-9 predictions, huh?

I looked at the schedule last night...
5-11

Yep.
Pretenders, not contenders. I had a feeling that this year wasn't going to be good. These "no names" they got for the O line was a start. Never heard of them before, although they did play somewhat better than they did against the SeaChickens. But, a loss is a loss regardless.
I was being generous when I said 8-8 or 9-7. But, 5-11 to 7-9 is likely more realistic. Dez Bryant has his head somewhere in the clouds. He looked like T.O. last night.

I don't think JG is the RKC, and JJ is certainly NOT the RKGM, either. I'm still undecided on Ryan.

Success and failure both start up front, Bull.
This offensive line is horrible and is an indictment of piss poor drafting and scouting. The GM may not like it but that points the arrow directly at him.

sad performance. and yes, dez was just terrible, but he was not alone. i suppose we will not have a running game this year. this bunch is about where they've been the last few yrs - average. maybe 8-8 give or take a game. it's hard to watch this group of guys... of course i'll continue, but REAL change in obviously needed for dallas to get back to playing ball in january. on a positive note, JJ must be real proud he's the only stadium in the league with a Victoria's Secret store. maybe if he opens more stores in his palace and adds more pole dancers it will take our focus off what's happening on the field.

An excerpt from an SI.Com article; It???s baffling, really, to see Dallas going through the motions like this, suffering through the types of mental lapses you???d expect to see from a team undergoing a coaching change or overhauling the roster. This is not what playoff contenders look like. This is not even what this very Dallas team looked like just three weeks ago during an emphatic victory over the Giants in New York.Something has gone terribly awry since then.
Things went terribly awry when Jerry Jones forced out Jimmy Johnson. Jones thinks he has all the answers and expects the fans to drink the kool-aid.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Otis. Unfortunately, JJ will never admit his failures......but, he will admit that bringing in Victoria's Secret to the stadium was a good idea.....Wonder what that has to do with football?

Hahahahaha..you just may be right, Mike. JJ beats all I've ever seen....I just have to SMH at him most of the time.

Jerry Jones huge ego won't let him give a knowledgeable football person full authority over the football program.

You can have Irsay if you like! tweets and all! lol
i know most think JJ is all about winning... spending and over spending for players. but it seems if he really wanted to win he'd make changes that allowed his team to have success. a real GM and HC would be a good start. kinda hard to be a GM while filming pizza ads and working on retail deals for his stadium.

Kool-aid? I drank it for a week and it tasted nasty. Done drinking that sh&t with this team.

JJ reminds me of a snake oil salesman. He wants you to believe that he's all about "winning", and most people think that, but he was making a lot of money before he bought the team. He saw a gold mine with the Cowboys, and he's made a lot more money from owning them. He got some rings early, which led to making more money.
Johnson leaves, and it's been a 3 ring circus ever since. I still cannot fathom how JG got hired BEFORE Phillips. His rhetoric about winning doesn't convince me.
I still think there are skunks in the woodpile somewhere.
