I am an Atlanta Falcon...... Just thought to get that out the way.... But I have to say that Peter King, NFL Fans and SI are cool to minimizing the fact that Breezy has tied a 'Pete Rose' like stat in the NFL!

King gives all sorts of excuses as to why Breezy is at this point but does not account for any other factors like fast defensive ends and pass rushers and other factors but he wants to just diminish what Breezy has achieved.... Brady, Manning or Favre did not break that record but after the year Breezy had I think its time to see him as an elite QB. I am not a Purdue fan or NO guy but I see What Brees has done and feel he deserves more fanfare than this.....

I respect you King but your listing of how Unitas had so few throws just made me feel like you were taking away from what Breezy has done...

A lot has changed in the game and everyone had to adjust so do not minimize what Breezy has done.... Just my thoughts......

It's an impressive accomplishment. And Drew Brees deserves all the adulation he gets.

But even if Drew Brees breaks the record I would still consider Johnny Unitas' feat more impressive. Unless, of course, Brees smashes the record significantly.
