The slate this week features a few decent games indeed. Hope for more churn at the top spots:

1 Bama at TENN
2 Oregon at ASU on Thursday night
3 UF at home vs 9 SCAR game of the week
4 KSU at 17 WVU
5 ND vs BYU (BYU probably would have been a lot better off in 2012 in the MWC)
6 LSU at 20 TAMU
7 tOSU vs Purdue, the quest to hose over the BCS continues
8 OrSU vs Utah
10 OU vs Kansas
11 USC vs Da Buffs
12 FSU at Miami, probably will be a home game for FSU if you add up fans there...
13 UGA at Kentucky
14 Clemson vs VT
15 MSU vs Middle TENN State
16 Louisville vs USF
18 TT at TCU, maybe a barnburner
19 Rutgers at Temple, BE is looking better than the ACC or B1G this year
21 Cincy at Toledo, a much better game than you might think
22 Stanford at CAL, decent rivalry game
23 TSUN vs MSU, for the honor of the mitten state
24 BSU vs UNLV

Notables:
Auburn at Vandy, something has to give here
NC State at Maryland, both are 4-2
UW at Arizona, loser might not make a bowl
Baylor at Texas, NOT a defensive struggle
PSU at Iowa, both are 4-2

Buffs are 40 point dogs to the Trojans. This year, they've covered the spread only in their dramatic win at Wazzu when they were 21 point dogs.

Next 3 games: at USC, at Oregon, Stanford. And the hits just keep on coming.

QUOTE:

BE is looking.. better than the ACC or B1G this year

That the Big East still has three unbeaten teams heading into week eight is a surprise to me. My hunch is that one or two of these teams is overdue for an upset...

I think Louisville is the safest bet to avoid the upset this week hosting South Florida. Many in the media had Skip Holtz and his Bulls pegged to win the Big East this year and at 2-4 but with only two conference losses it's still possible although a loss to the Cards would end any conference title hopes for USF.

Rutgers at Temple: Temple is so far under the radar and probably under-rated too that when they re-joined the Big East they were automatically relegated to the basement. But in their previus three seasons in the MAC they finished at or near the top of their division all three years and it's not like the Big East is a top heavy conference.

And Temple already with two conference wins and no losses should probably give Rutgers a tough game and maybe pull the upset.

Cincinnati at Toledo: Cincy has only left their rickety old stadium once this year and even though it was a big win over a questionable Va. Tech, their other wins have been over shoddy competition. Toledo's only loss was in overtime at Arizona. Cincy is on upset alert.

QUOTE(#12):

Nobody is giving PSU much of a chance.

I almost took them, they are favored by 3. Since it is a home game that 3 points is worth about the same as the homefield advantge.

It just seems like since the 1st 2 losses PSU has gotten it's pride back and is playing for something... to prove something.

On the other hand I live in Cedar Rapids, right in the middle of 'HawkEyeVille', and even the fans are ambivalent. So Gimme the team that's trying to prove something...

You expect me to pick OVT's Cockerels?

Nope. USCe may have a lead at some point, but, by end of Q4, UF will have the higher score.

It's not personal. It's just business.
