No problem... I can't afford the ticket prices anyway.

That new stadium is really neat.

The stadium is only neat if the team that plays in it isn't CRAP!!!

Or JJ dies....
Just sayin'.
betrayal.... maybe. it just seems that this path is on a never ending road. JJ is too stubborn to fess-up to being a poor GM. he rationalizes his position saying it gives him more ability to take risks, but these risks have not paid off.
he refuses to hire experienced, successful HCs. so we are stuck with an owner/GM that refuses to see his weaknesses and will not give any control to others that could possibly make this team better. the result is very unpredictible play, sloppy play, continuous errors and the wins just seem to elude us in different ways each week.
although i've been a fan for 35+ yrs and will likely always be a cowboy fan, i am now more open to watching other games like the texans. i have always supported all texas teams in all sports (except maybe A&M) and frankly i'm just growing extremely tired of watching dallas and their sloppy play with no substantial changes ever made.
in a nutshell, JJ has taken much of the joy out of watching this team play each sunday. he seems to be more interested in retailing his stadium, having pole dancers, half time shows, etc all in an effort to distract us from what's happening on the field..... JJ just makes it harder and harder to love this team.

I don't see the key word as "betrayal". I see it more as "selfish" and "greedy". JJ don't seem to care whether the team wins or not, as long as he racks in the money. He gives the impression he cares, because that rakes in money. He's a snakeoil salesman, first class.
I read an article yesterday about his Palace. Did you know that it's almost paid for? Over a billion dollars worth of stadium, and it's "almost paid for"................Hmmmmmmmm.

interesting that the stadium is nearly paid for.... WOW! i've read where the city of arlington put in $325M and JJ paid the balance of $700M. of course he didn't have that kind of cash sitting around so he did some financing on his own. it's reported JJ put more of his cash into the stadium than any other owner has ever done. maybe this is his motivation now - to MAKE money rather than focus on building a legacy in his team. IDK... it seems if you're worth a few billion, maybe money is no longer on your list as a motivator. JJ could make his mark by building a team that matches the stadium they play in. but that doesn't seem to be the case right now.

i see where GBay is going after a running back and the J'ville is trying to get tebow.... my point is teams are constantly trying to improve during the season. doing things that could make them more successful. i don't see JJ doing a thing to help dallas and that's frustrating. dallas could use some help in many areas, but JJ thinks he's got a winner so we stay the current course.... frustrating!

In spite of his promises to make improvements his teams haven't progressed in years so no, I don't feel betrayed by JJ. Inertia, disappointment and frustration have become par for the course in big D.
For what it's worth? I'd take yer HC over Marven also ,as nothing will ever change with him as HC. Happy Halloween

JJ has a ready made product that someone else built.........not him. He just happened to be the one who owned the team when they won 3 SB's. He once said any of 500 coaches could win with the Cowboys, but notice that, since he started building it, they've not done squat?
I wonder why that is? You're right. Money is the object.......to pay all his debts, like the Jerry Palace, and to hell with the team. At least that's the impression I've had for quite some time now.

BullShirt,
And that? Will never change.[till he kicks it] just as we are stuck with our owner. I put JJ as an Owner? sticking his nose too far up the Coachs **** every year. And can't pickshit for 'quality'. [And never use these players too thier optimum advantage.]
As long as he's alive? deal with the same thing. The Bengals are being taken down that same old road.
2 owners that i'd love too here any convo between the 2.

Oh I know, EZ. It's a shame, too. This year has been a waste, but then again, every year seems to be a waste. For a lot of teams.

Notice how it's usually about the same teams year in and year out that at least give their fans a realistic hope of success? Cowboys are NOT on that list.
