feel free to leave a post if you are an east coaster and survived the storm. I would be interested in hearing your stories as well as see photos if you have them. Wishing all of you and your families are safe and sound.
My family in MAryland faired pretty well, but I am worried for those in jersey and new york city! God Bless!

I've heard all of lower Manhattan is without power and it might take up to 4 days for the subway system to start running.

Some of the live video is downright frightening. And some folks were walking and driving around like it was a normal day! What could be that important that you are driving around during an epic storm?

October 30, 2012  11:41 AM ET

and now the snow coming in like a monster! wow!

I think part of the problem is the 'Cat 1' label - but the other parts, the storm colliding with other systems, make it much worse than just a cat 1 hurricane.

I saw one reporter get caught in a huge wave and wondered why the hell he was reporting so close to the shore in the first place.

Wow. No subway for that long in NY? That's a crisis in and of itself. Yikes.
